THT Presses, Inc.
Leading Manufacturer of Rotor Die Casting Machinery and Equipment
In-House Capabilities
Design Engineering, Program Engineering and 3D Modeling
Our in-house engineering team develops machinery, tooling, and process solutions tailored to each application. We use 3D modeling to visualize concepts, evaluate different scenarios, and refine production-ready designs before a project moves forward. Whether you need a new system or support for an existing THT machine, we can design tooling, adapt existing molds, and help identify the right path for your casting program.
Research & Development, Prototyping and Testing
THT operates a fully equipped, state-of-the-art multi-functional laboratory for prototyping, development, and feasibility testing. Our R&D capabilities allow us to explore new die concepts, tooling strategies, and casting techniques, test new components, inspect tooling before shipment, and run sample parts so customers can validate ideas without disrupting their own production schedules.
Tooling, Machining and Machine Assembly
Complete vertical integration helps THT move quickly from approved design to finished tooling and production equipment. Our in-house capabilities extend from tooling development and machining through assembly and system build support for shuttle and index vertical casting machines. We also provide customized tooling and automation, along with auxiliary equipment for turnkey casting cells, including robotics, furnaces, cooling conveyors, specialized presses, and training for complete system integration.
In-House Casting Production
THT does more than build machines. We also support R&D and initial production of new castings, additional production based on customer demand, and in-house casting of copper, aluminum, and magnesium components. For customers developing advanced rotor applications, THT can help with copper rotor casting from concept through production, including tooling design and in-house casting during both development and production phases.
Specialized Casting Capabilities
Our team is equipped to support complex and specialized castings, including irregular shapes, inserts, and metal matrix composites. THT can also help test new dies, evaluate unique applications, and support projects ranging from small components to large castings up to 600 pounds. If your part presents an unusual challenge, our in-house resources help shorten the path from concept to a workable production solution.
Inspection & Quality Control
Quality is built into every stage of the process. THT states that its inspection and quality control systems are designed to meet customer requirements, and its quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015 for the manufacture of prototype and production metal castings. Before shipment, THT thoroughly tests mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and automated functions and hot tests prototypes to confirm systems meet required specifications.
Why THT's In-House Capabilities Matter
Keeping engineering, tooling, testing, production, and quality control connected inside one organization helps reduce delays, improve coordination, and strengthen production readiness. THT's vertical casting technology also supports lower porosity and higher density, near-net-shape castings that can reduce trimming, faster mold changes, smaller floor space requirements, and shorter cycle times on multi-station systems.
